About
not a studio. a wellness boutique.
Is it a Pilates studio? Is it a Yoga studio? Neither, really. Yoga Barre Pilates works on multi-dimensional goals — physical, mental, emotional, and further inward than that — blending Yoga, Pilates, Barre and Aerial into one plan, customised to what you're actually here for.
The Philosophy
beyond the surface
Most fitness is measured on the surface — a number on the scale, a shape in the mirror. Useful, but only up to a point, because neither one says much about how you actually feel in your body from one day to the next.
What this studio works on instead is what sits beneath that: the inward work, alongside the outward result. That is the gap Yoga Barre Pilates was built to close — not a rejection of the surface-level goal, but a refusal to stop there.

Shikha's Story
the founder's own path
The studio's approach did not start as a business plan — it started as Shikha's own experience. From an early age, she moved through cycles of weight gain and weight loss, and the toll was never just physical; it shook her emotionally and mentally too.
Yoga was where she turned first — and where she discovered a poor metabolism and very little muscle in her own body, the surface-level fix doing far less than she expected.
In 2018, she took part in a Vipassana course, and it reframed how she understood all of it: the correlation between body, mind and emotion, and how much of the real work happens in the nervous system rather than in the muscle.
Everything the studio now teaches and offers carries that understanding in it. It has been nine years since — and the studio is still growing stronger.
One Approach, Four Practices
why bring them together
Yoga and Pilates came first, taught separately, to separate clients — until Shikha noticed what each group was missing from the other. Clients doing one rarely experienced the benefit of the other, despite how much each had to offer. So the studio stopped teaching them apart.
Yoga & Pilates
The original two, brought under one plan so a client training in either one experiences the benefit of both.
Barre
Added for cardio health, music and a plain sense of fun — a different register from the other three.
Aerial
Added for enhanced mobility and the specific benefits of anti-gravity work on the silks.
None of the four were collected at random. Together, they are designed to give a complete benefit — holistically, and sustainably. It is also why Yoga Barre Pilates is among the few studios across India offering this kind of multi-dimensional, integrated experience — niche expertise built into a genuinely personalised approach.
What We Work On
a value framework
Multi-dimensional wellbeing, worked on through one personalised plan rather than in separate appointments.
Physical
- Rehabilitation
- Strength & conditioning
- Mobility
- Flexibility
- Agility
Mental & Emotional
- Yoga
- Meditation
- Greater inward awareness
Together, the aim is a more holistic approach to wellbeing — one that can support quality of life personally and professionally, not just how a session feels in the room.
Beyond The Workout
nutrition & physiotherapy
Nutrition & Wellness
Yes, diet is part of it — just not in the conventional calorie-deficit sense. The studio works to understand your body type first, and where appropriate, points toward Naturopathy and Ayurveda rather than a standard prescription.
This is guidance, not a medical diagnosis or treatment — an individualised starting point rather than a one-size plan.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is also offered at the studio, alongside the movement practices above.
Who It Is For
niche, not mass
Yoga Barre Pilates was not built to be a mass-market fitness experience, and it is not trying to become one. It's built for a smaller, more specific kind of client.

A Personalised Approach
Someone who wants their plan built around their own goals, not a fixed class curriculum.
Mindful Movement
Someone who wants every move to be intentional, not counted out on autopilot.
Continuous Progress
Someone playing a longer game than one visible result — progress that keeps building, session on session.
a more complete relationship
Nine years in, the studio still comes back to the same idea: moving beyond the surface, toward a more complete relationship with your own body and wellbeing — physical, mental and emotional at once.
It also means treating this as an investment in yourself, not an expense to be weighed against everything else — the same way you might weigh any other regular cost in your week.
That same approach is available online as well as in the studio, for the days it's easier to practise from home.
